Miss Jessica Ahedor

Ahedor Jessica is Ghanaian based freelance science journalist and the founder of (Science Journalism Ghana) scijgh.com a news platform which focused on medicine, environment, engineering, science and technology. As a copy writer, she currently works with scijgh.com  and healthpolicy-watch.news,; her most recent bylines were for healthpolicy-watch.news, scijgh.com, and the Scientific African magazine. She was formerly a sub-editor, Lead News Anchor, Producer, Program Host, and a senior Reporter for First Digital TV, First News Network, GNTV Ghana and its subsidiary in the UK, a correspondent for West Africa Democracy Radio based in Dakar- Senegal, the Scientific African Magazine in Rwanda from 2019 to 2021, She also volunteered for the Earth.org in Hong Kong as well as the health reporter (West Africa) for Pan Africa Visions - Washington DC.  She reported from the African continent in countries like Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Togo, Côte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Senegal. Internationally, she reported from United State of America, Norway, and the United Kingdom. She won the 2022 Kavli Grant Awards from Norwegian Academy of Sciences and Letters, in 2021 Young Leaders Awards, from the International Federation of Agriculture Journalists, IFAJ, a grant Awards from the Santeperso Initiative in medical journalism in 2019 and the CAPOOP Media Fellow for 2021 by Speak Up Africa. She also received recommendations from Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiatives DNDi in Geneva, Coalition of NGOs in Health in Ghana for good reportage.
